Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Law degree from a recognized university
- Experience: 2 years legal practice
- Must provide experience certificate from President District Bar Association & attested by District Judge
- In-service police officers with 2 years’ service post law degree are exempted from this requirement
- Visual Standard: 6/9 (each eye); Near vision: not less than J-1
- Physical Standards:
- Male: Height 5’5″, Chest 32″-33.5″
- Female: Height 5’2″
Selection Process & Test Pattern
A written examination at Graduate/Law Graduate level will be conducted by PPSC in two phases:
Phase 1: Paper-3 (MCQs)
- Pakistan Penal Code, CrPC, QSO, Anti-Rape Act: 100 MCQs (Negative marking applies)
- Qualifying Marks: 40%
Phase 2: Paper-1 & 2
- English Essay (Descriptive): 50 Marks
- Urdu Essay (Descriptive): 50 Marks
Additional Paper:
- Psychological Assessment (MCQs): 150 Marks
Viva Voce (Interview)
- Weightage: 150 Marks
- Qualifying Criteria: 40% in each paper and 50% overall
Note: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for interview.

- Medical certificate from designated hospitals is required.
- No relaxation in age will be granted.
- Candidates with only academic qualifications but no practice experience are not eligible.
